Friday was a remarkable woman with a fantastic sense of humour. When she would ask how my family were doing you knew she was asking because she genuinely cared. My heart and sincere condolences ho to Jane and Anna and the grandchildren. RIP Freda my you rest in eternal peace reunited with Eddie. Xx

Freda was such a lovely lady, I remember going round as a child and being so welcomed in. I have known her all my life, a truly wonderful lady and very proud of the girls. Rest easy Freda reunited with your Eddie x much love x Shields Crescent has lost an icon x

Freda always made me laugh as every time she saw me she would call me Carol ( my sisters name) then remember and call me Jane. We had many a chat when I lived a few doors from her, and even when I moved down the road, she always stopped and spoke. You never saw Freda without Diane , the double duo .
